Character Designs: Viper

The vipes head and tail are the key elements in his design. For the head he needs to have something easy to draw and colour and yet look sinister and devious as well. The kind of character audiences look at and just think evil. The tail of the viper is a sharp piece of bone almost shaped like a spear tip which he uses for whipping and lashing. For character back story would like to say it's poison-tipped but thats not part of the story so that element will remain in the imagination. The most interesting feature of all the design i coloured with this character is the eyes. I wanted eyes that glow, in a way that's not necessarily hypnotic but when you see them glaring it's like you can't look away.

Character Designs: Turtle

Here the designs for the turtle who is the signature if not key character in the story. I visualised him being mildly cute looking and yet still some how old & wise in his design. I wnat him to be the kind of charcacter whom when the audience look at him they would never think that he holds great spiritual power within him.once again I will work from the five coloured designs and create something aesthetically suitable.

Character Designs: Master Rasta

Moving along here are the design for the Kung Fu master. The way in which i effectivly visualized this character was for him to be a rasta as in asian kung fu films it is often a crazy yet wise and in certain cases long haired old man that portrays the master and in jamaica the equivalant to a wise yet crazy old man would be a rasta. Therefore any designs for this character would require him to in some way have dred locks and whenever I though of him I also always pictured a goatee. To complete his design and keep him in the aesthetic with an old style martial arts film I wanted him to be dressed in a classic looking kung fu suit so I researched as many kung fu films as I could and sketched the different designs and mixed some together and see if i felt they worked. Once again I have coloured the ones i favour and will pick one to develop.
